i saw a most incredible sunrise today. a thin fog had set over the landscape that is the city in which i reside (i like to live elsewhere). the streets were quiet; the trees looking as firmly planted in this place as i feel. i drove the road without lights to ensure the effect of this unusual weather was not lost on my senses. i turned left onto the customary road to nowhere, and saw it: the perfectly rounded, yellow sun dulled from its regular shine to a muted circular flat-plated disk shape which might best be described as Hong-Shi once described Zen practice: "...completely developed, no extremes, no edges or corners. it is perfectly round and frictionless."

i stopped by the road to pause, take notice, shoot a snapshot and marvel at my smallness.
