Image taken at this guy's birthday party. We were sitting at a middle eastern restaurant, a bunch of people who hadn't all assembled in a group in a while. The belly dancers hadn't come out, and we hadn't yet decided that smoking apple tobacco would be a good idea either. I was thinking about something - maybe the fact that I hadn't seem some of these people in months, close to a year in one case; maybe the smiles I saw on the face of one friend and his girlfriend, who I'd never met; maybe I was thinking about romance or something completely different.

And then someone took my picture.
